A motorcyclist was critically injured after three persons allegedly in an inebriated state and riding a motorcycle hit him. The trio was also riding the motorcycle on the wrong side of the road.
The injured has been identified as 21-year-old Monty Sharma, a resident of Saketri village.
Sharma, who works at a shop outside the Shiv temple at Saketri, told the police that after completing his work at around 9.30 pm on Sunday, he had gone to refuel his motorcycle near Dolphin Chowk.
He said when he was returning home after refueling his motorcycle, three persons riding a motorcycle bearing registration number HR-03-AC-7468 and coming from the wrong side of the road hit his vehicle. The victim was rushed to Civil Hospital, Sector 6, Panchkula, from where he was referred to PGIMER, Chandigarh, considering critical injuries.
Based on Sharma’s complaint, the police registered a case under Section 125A, 281 and 324(4) of the BNS against the unknown trio at MDC police station and started the investigation.
