A woman, aged 22, is suspected to have died of drug overdose. Identified by police as Dinky, she was a resident of Jattan mohalla here. One person has been arrested in this connection.
Dinky’s mother Seema Joshi told the police that she left home on Sunday saying she was going out with friends. When she did not return till late in the night, the mother called her up to know her whereabouts.
She said she was at a friend’s place and would spend the night there.
Next morning, her friend called up the mother to inform her that Dinky was not getting up.
When the family reached there, they found she was already dead, police quoted the mother as saying.
Later, her family found a video of a man injecting drugs into Dinky’s arm on her phone.
They immediately lodged a complaint with police, following which Rajinder was arrested. A case under Section 105 (culpable homicide not amounting to murder) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) has been registered against him.
