The crime investigation agency (CIA)-I of Yamunanagar police arrested four persons including three minor girls and a young man with 33.90 kg Charas. The police have registered a case under charges of NDPS Act against the accused persons.
The arrested accused are identified as Rajbali of Betia district in Bihar, while the identity of the three girls cannot be revealed for being minors.The minor girls were produced before the Principal Juvenile Justice Board, which sent them to Child Observation Home at Karnal. Accused Rajbali was produced before the district court, which sent him on 10-day police remand.
CIA-I in-charge Yadwinder Singh said that he received the tip-off that a man along with three minor girls is coming with Charas via a train. He said a team was formed immediately and four suspects were nabbed from near Railway Station Chowk in Yamunanagar.
“During checking in front of a gazette officer 5 kg Charas was recovered each from three bags of three minor girls and 18.90 kg was recovered from Rajbali’s possession”, said Yadwinder.
