Indian Army Neutralises 7 Pakistani Infiltrators at LoC, Including BAT Commandos

The Indian Army killed seven Pakistani infiltrators who were trying to breach the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu & Kashmir in a highly strategic operation. Terrorists from Pakistan’s infamous Border Action Team (BAT), which is well-known for carrying out surprise attacks on Indian soldiers, were among the infiltrators.

Sources claim that the operation happened in the Krishna Ghati area of the Poonch district on the evening of February 4–5. The Indian Army killed seven intruders, including two to three Pakistani Army personnel, after effectively thwarting an ambush attempt by the infiltrators.

Pakistani BAT Commandos Arranged a Lethal Ambush at the Line of Control

Pakistan’s Border Action Team (BAT), a highly skilled commando unit that specialises in stealth attacks along the Line of Control, supported the infiltrators. BAT members have attacked Indian soldiers in the past using guerrilla-style tactics. The Indian Army’s prompt action eliminated the threat and stopped a significant cross-border attack.

Al-Badr terrorists are also among the deceased. Terrorists from the Pakistan-based terrorist organisation Al-Badr, which frequently launches operations in Jammu & Kashmir, were among the infiltrators who were killed. Cross-border militancy has suffered a serious setback with the elimination of these terrorists.

This interaction happened just before Pakistan’s alleged “Kashmir Solidarity Day,” which was held on February 5 and was a propaganda-driven occasion meant to disseminate false information about Jammu & Kashmir.

Important Lessons Learnt from the Indian Army’s LoC Operation

  • The attack was an effort to ambush Indian soldiers, but the Army thwarted the operation.
  • Seven Pakistani infiltrators were neutralised, including BAT commandos and Pakistani Army officers.
  • Among those slain were al-Badr terrorists, dealing a blow to cross-border terrorism. A sensitive location near the LoC, Krishna Ghati in Poonch district, is where the event happened.
