Congress Removes Usman from District Vice President Post After He Ran Over 3 People with Car in Jaipur

Usman, the defendant in the Jaipur DUI case, was removed from his position as district vice president by the Congress party. Soon after the collision, the police took him into custody. In Jaipur, the incident has caused popular uproar, with many people protesting in the streets.

Three individuals were killed and seven others were injured in the Jaipur drink-and-drive case. The defendant in the traffic collision, Usman, was taken into custody. At the time, he was the Jaipur City District Congress’s vice president. He has since lost his job as a result of the incident. In this context, a formal press statement was also released.

Usman Khan, the vice president of the Jaipur City District Congress, was found to be driving carelessly on Nahargarh Road in Jaipur on Monday night, according to media sources, the Congress said in a press statement. Three people lost their lives as a result, while numerous others were injured. Usman Khan has been promptly removed from the district executive committee in accordance with directives from R.R. Tiwari, president of the Jaipur City Congress.

A memorandum will be sent to the District Collector and Police Commissioner today, April 8, 2025, at 2:00 PM, under the direction of R.R. Tiwari, President of the Jaipur City District Congress Committee. The memorandum will advocate for strict action against the guilty party member and proper recompense for the injured and deceased.

Protests: Public Blocks Roads in Outrage

The event has angered many in Jaipur. Protesters took to the streets to call for the guilty to get the worst punishment possible. Additionally, protesters claimed that a local Congress MLA attempted to protect the accused. In the meantime, the Congress has been under constant attack from the BJP. The car has been confiscated and the accused has been placed under custody. In a social media post following the accident, Usman also said, “I have never wronged anyone.”
