The Indian Institutes of Technology (or IITs), have long been considered the gold standard when it comes to engineering placements in India. But this long-held perception is being changed by the recent placement history of Lovely Professional University (LPU). The students of LPU are now getting employment offers on par and even better than that of the most esteemed institutions of India.
Record Breaking: 2.5 Crore Package
During the 2025 placement season, Vishnu, a final-year student of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) department, LPU, got a domestic package of 2.5 crore per annum in one of the top robotics and automation companies of India. The salary is among the highest salaries given to an engineering graduate in India this year.
International Offer 1.03 Crore
Betireddy Naga Vamsi Reddy, another final-year ECE student, was offered an international job of 1.03 crore (about 118000 dollars) by a top AI robotics firm. All these milestones mean that LPU is progressively rising in being the university of first choice by global recruiters of the best talents. Top multinational companies have offered jobs to more than 1,700 LPU students with an annual package of 10 lakh to 2.5 crore rupees.
This is no accident and this is a clear indicator that LPU is churning out industry ready talent consistently, remarked a senior official of the Career Services Division at LPU.
Mega Placement Drive
The placement program at LPU is not restricted to a few. Reflecting high industry demand of LPU graduates, 7,204 job offers were made in a recent placement drive. 1,602 students got more than one job offer. The mean package of the 25 percentile student was 10.23 lakh rupees per year. Tech giants such as Palo Alto Networks, Microsoft, Amazon, and ServiceNow came to campus. In the news recently was Adireddy Vasu, a BTech ECE student, who received 7 job offers, a new university record.
Well-Paying Work with International Tech Companies
Recent placement data indicates LPU students are securing high-end jobs in advanced areas such as cyber security, artificial intelligence, cloud engineering and products development. The firms such as Microsoft and Amazon came with one of the best offers of 52.20 lakh and 46.94 lakh respectively, showing the quality of talent that LPU was grooming.
