An extremely gruesome instance has been reported in the Siddharthnagar district of Uttar Pradesh. One woman who has been married 25 years fell in love with her nephew who is 25 years old (a certain family of the female side). The woman and her nephew married in court and started living together without telling other persons. When this became the issue of uproar later, a village council (panchayat) sat. The husband of the woman was very mature in the meeting where he gave the wife permission to go stay with his lover.
25 Years of Marriage and Four Children
It took place in a village at the Bhanwaniganj police station territory in Siddharthnagar. 25 years earlier the village man had married a girl belonging to a neighbouring village. At first all was going on normally, and the couple had four children two daughters and two sons. The older sister is 20 years and the other 18 years. Two of the sons are 17 and 10 respectively. The husband used to be out of home seeking jobs. It was during this period that a nephew (who was the son of a sister to the wife) of the age of 25 started showing up regularly. After some time, in-between talks created intimacy and within no long time a love affair transformed the two.
Woman Leaves Her Children to Be with Lover
It also has been stated by the media that in the year 2024 the woman wedded her lover in a court. She abandoned her husband, and her four children and went away with her nephew. The husband reported to the police and appealed to the law enforcers. Sometime later the woman went to her marital home and abandoned her lover.
Nevertheless, that was not the end of the issue. The younger man then lodged a written complaint with the police station, wherein the lady no longer wanted to live with him even after court marriage between them. The woman ran off with her lover a few days later once more. The case flared up on Sunday when the woman went back to the village with her lover and a panchayat was convened in a village center. Family members and elders in the villages were present.
Panchayat Decision: Husband Shows Maturity
The woman made it clear during and at the panchayat that she was desiring to live with her lover. She showed some marriage documents to the court as well. She stated, she had made up her mind, and was not being influenced. In society, the husband got above the level of it and the personal feeling that he would not restrain his wife, even when they wanted to live with any other person as he told the panchayat that.
What the Police Said
Bhanwaniganj Station House Officer informed the local media that the woman herself appeared before the station and confirmed her court marriage. She said that she wanted to move in with her paramour. The police felt that she could go with him after checking the documents.
