The cause of death of a headless and limbless body discovered in a drainage in the Eidgah on Patraua Road in Sambhal, Uttar Pradesh, some seven days ago is a mystery that has been solved by police. It was found in the investigation that once the illicit relationship of a wife was revealed, she killed her husband brutally together with her lover and disinterred his neck to hide his identity. The body was disposed of in a drain outside their house and the head and the amputated limbs in the Ganga river at Rajghat.
Dogs Were Tearing at the Body
The person who revealed the information about the case was SP City Krishna Kumar Bishnoi, who said that on September 15, in the morning, at around 9 a.m., a body in a drain was discovered, and the dogs were chewing on it, located in the Eidgah near the Patraua Road. The body had no head and limbs. There was a bag next by that had some polythene and lumps of flesh. Police investigations were done based on the tattoo of the name Rahul on the left arm of the victim.
Wife Made Missing Person Report.
In the process of the investigation, the police found out that one of the residents of Chunni Mohalla, a woman by the name of Ruby had reported her husband Rahul missing approximately one month before. Since November 18 Rahul had been missing. This resulted in the body being the identification of Rahul. The missing person case was adjusted by the police to a murder case and lodged charges against the wife of Rahul, Ruby, and one of the local youth, Gaurav.
Caught Wife and Lover Red-handed Husband.
Ruby and Gaurav gave a confession of the murder during the interrogation. They disclosed that they were romantically in a physical relationship as Rahul had suspected. Rahul caught them red-handed in a filthy state at home one night of November 18. An argument followed, whereby Rahul attacked them, humiliated Ruby in the neighbourhood and threatened to hurl her out of the house.

Police claim that it is because Ruby told Gaurav to kill Rahul. Gaurav killed Rahul by hitting him with an iron rod and hammer on the head, used in repairing shoes. On the following day they purchased plastic sheets and two bags in Ghantaghar Market. They hired a cutter machine (grinder) out on a man called Jeetu Mistri, to cut the body.
They sliced Rahul with the help of the grinder, his neck and legs. The severed limbs and the head were covered with polythene and put in a red bag, the torso was packed separately. They tossed the bag of the head, limbs and the mobile phone of Rahul into the Ganga River at the Rajghat bridge with the help of the rented car. The torso bag was tossed into the drainage on the Patraua Road, Eidgah.
Police Collected Evidence
Following the murder, the lower garment of Rahul and the bloody garment of Ruby and Gaurav had been burnt at an abandoned place in front of a house behind Chunni Mohalla. The accused has been gathered with significant amounts of evidence by the police and additional legal action is being taken.
