Maintaining that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) does not do politics of appeasement “but of satisfaction”, Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday slammed the Congress over its manifesto calling it “dangerous”.
Addressing the Maha Vijay Sankalp Rally at the Sirsa grain market in Haryana in support of BJP candidate Ashok Tanwar, the UP CM said, “The Congress has written a dangerous thing in its manifesto. After coming to power, the Congress has promised to conduct a survey of the property of every citizen.
The Congress will conduct a survey of the property of your father and grandfather, snatch half of it and will give it to Pakistanis and Muslims.”
Yogi, who invoked Aurangzeb, said the Congress was also following “this culture”.
“The spirit of cruel ruler Aurangzeb has entered the Congress. Aurangzeb killed his brother for power and sent his father to jail. The Congress party is also following this culture,” Yogi said.
“India has made its strength felt in the world. Before 2014, the borders of our country were not secure. There were terrorist attacks. The enemy used to enter our house. Now the borders are also safe,” Yogi said, adding, “Pakistan has now realised that now the new India does not tease, but if so- meone teases India, it does not leave it either.”
Lampooning Congress’ garibi hatao programmes, Yogi said its “people used to eat the ration of the poor”.
But today 80 crore people are being given ration, whereas in neighbouring Pakistan, which has a population of 23-24 crore, people are on the streets for wheat, he said. “There is a scuffle in Pakistan for one kilo of wheat,” he added.
