Days after ticket distribution, state president of BJP Intellectual Cell, Professor Chhatrapal, has removed party flags from his residence and office, indicating his possible exit from the party.

However, despite the announcement of contesting elections, Savitri Jindal has not cleared her stand as yet. Similarly, former mayor Gautam Sardana is also silent. However, the Hisar BJP candidate has pasted pictures of Jindal and Sardana in his nomination pamphlets.

On the other hand, sources have claimed that Congress leader Bajrang Garg has also removed party flags from his residence. However, Garg later released a video and clarified that he is still with the Congress. “The Congress party is completely united, but some people are conspiring against us. With the blessings of the people, the Congress is going to form the govt in Haryana with a huge majority,” he said in the video. When contacted, Professor Chhatrapal said he was in Delhi, but claimed his supporters held meetings among themselves and removed the flags from his house and office. “Whatever I am today, it is because of my supporters,” he added.

Sardar Balkaur Singh , former MLA from Kalanwali, has resigned from the BJP and joined the Congress after BJP named Rajender Singh Desujodha as the candidate. Kalanwali MLA and Congress candidate Sheeshpal Keherwala was also present with him. Sardar Balkaur Singh became an SGPC member in 1996, and was a member from 1996 to 2004. He had to face a defeat in the SGPC elections in 2004.
