Chhattisgarh Class 5 and 8 Board Exams 2025: Even If a Student Fails Supplemental Exams, They Won’t Be Held Back.

The dates for the 2025 board exams for Classes 5 and 8 have been formally announced by the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE). According to the most recent timetable, the Class 8 board examinations will start on March 18 and the Class 5 board exams on March 17. On April 30, 2025, the results of both tests will be made public.

The Chhattisgarh Education Board administers these important tests every year, and students around the state are preparing for them. In order to ensure transparency in the assessment procedure, the board has also made the official blueprint for the examination and evaluation process available.

Exam Structure & Scoring System

A total of 50 marks will be awarded for the Class 5 board exam, which will be split into 40 written test points and 10 practical assessment points.

A total of 100 marks will be awarded for the Class 8 board exam, of which 80 will be awarded for the written portion.
✔ 20 points for practical evaluations

This methodical approach guarantees that students receive a thorough evaluation that takes into account both their academic and practical expertise.

There will be no student held back by the automatic promotion policy. The CGBSE has verified that no kid will be kept in the same class, even if they fail, which is a huge relief for the pupils.

✔️ supplemental tests: Beginning on June 1, 2025, students who do not pass the normal tests will have the opportunity to take supplemental exams.

✔️ Automatic Promotion: Students will still advance to the next grade even if they fail the supplemental tests. This policy seeks to ensure ongoing learning and development while easing the academic burden on pupils.

The exam blueprint is released by the Chhattisgarh Education Board.

The Chhattisgarh School Education Department has released a comprehensive plan for administering and assessing the Class 5 and Class 8 board exams in 2025.

📌 Blueprint Highlights:

🔹 District Education Officers (DEOs) will supervise the efficient administration of exams; 🔹 Exam papers will be created in accordance with the Directorate of Public Education’s guidelines;
🔹 District-level subject experts will organise committees to create three sets of question papers for each subject.

The CGBSE board hopes to preserve the intellectual integrity of board exams while ensuring fair assessments with this planned approach.

Class 5 and Class 8 Chhattisgarh Board Exams 2025 are scheduled to start in March, and the results should be available by April. The school board is concentrating on lowering exam stress and promoting learning with a well-structured evaluation system and a promotion program that is friendly to students. Keep checking back for more information on exam results, preparation advice, and instructions.
