The dates for the 2025 board exams for Classes 5 and 8 have been formally announced by the Chhattisgarh Board of Secondary Education (CGBSE). According to the most recent timetable, the Class 8 board examinations will start on March 18 and the Class 5 board exams on March 17. On April 30, 2025, the results of both tests will be made public.

Exam Structure & Scoring System
A total of 50 marks will be awarded for the Class 5 board exam, which will be split into 40 written test points and 10 practical assessment points.
A total of 100 marks will be awarded for the Class 8 board exam, of which 80 will be awarded for the written portion.

There will be no student held back by the automatic promotion policy. The CGBSE has verified that no kid will be kept in the same class, even if they fail, which is a huge relief for the pupils.
✔️ supplemental tests: Beginning on June 1, 2025, students who do not pass the normal tests will have the opportunity to take supplemental exams.
✔️ Automatic Promotion: Students will still advance to the next grade even if they fail the supplemental tests. This policy seeks to ensure ongoing learning and development while easing the academic burden on pupils.
