Debate Over Just 5 Minutes of Parking: Traffic Policeman Slaps Driver, Video Goes Viral

Social media has become viral with a video on Bengaluru. In the video, a road policeman is caught beating a taxi driver. The whole incident was filmed by a passerby using his mobile camera and it has continued to be discussed in the city.

The accident was said to have occurred in a Shell petrol station near the RT Nagar flyover. The taxi driver had parked his vehicle a few minutes when a traffic policeman came and started shouting at him according to the viral post.

The incident soon grew out of proportions and the policeman was reported to have slapped the driver. In the video, it is clear that the officer is shouting at the driver which enraged him even as the driver attempts to avoid losing his temper.

Parked car in five minutes only’

The post as well as asserts that the driver had only parked his car in five minutes. The policeman came during this time and started punishing him. Upon seeking to explain himself, the officer publicly slapped the driver. The whole incident was captured by people who were at the scene and the video is currently going viral on the social media.

Police Take Action

The Bengaluru City Police reacted immediately the video became viral. They also took the incident seriously, and thus tagged the post, and directed an enquiry by the RT Nagar Traffic Police and the DCP Traffic North.

Anger Erupts on Social Media

The video has been repopulated in platform X continuously. The users were outraged by the actions of the policeman. One of them commented that these individuals are not fit to wear a uniform of a policeman. One of them also spoke sarcastically that now when one is going out he must first pray to God to avoid being stopped by the traffic police.

This case has brought back the issue concerning the police and how they treat ordinary citizens on the roads. They are now calling on serious measures in this case.
