Educationists in both government and private schools in the country’s capital, Delhi, are being offered another opportunity of undergoing online professional training. In the present academic year, NISHTHA programme, General Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and Nano Courses have been announced by the State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT).
Teachers will be able to obtain this training in all types of schools, school principals, and teacher trainees.
Courses pertaining to Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) and Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) will be implemented according to SCERT under the NISHTHA (National Initiative of School Heads and Teachers Holistic Advancement) programme. Such courses will be made available in English, Hindi and Urdu languages.
Courses to Focus On
There will also be training of the teachers on various critical contemporary issues under the General CPD courses. They are cyber hygiene, social media safety, cybercrime, digital wellness, techno-pedagogy, and media literacy along with other pertinent topics. Particularly together with this, nano courses concerning cyber space safety shall also be administered.
Registration Details
All of these courses are offered in the digital format on the DIKSHA portal, as SCERT has informed. The courses consist of video lessons, study materials (in form of text), and exams.
Important Dates
The closing date of the enrolment in the courses is 10 March 2026, and the closing date to finish the courses is 15 March 2025.
Purpose of the Training
The goal of carrying out such training is to enhance the professionalism of the teachers, as well as to enable them to acquire advanced digital skills.
