Rape and murder convict Gurmeet Ram Rahim, who heads Dera Sacha Sauda, returned to Sunaria jail here on Wednesday after the end of his 21-day furlough.
Police made tight security arrangements when he came to the jail. During the furlough, he stayed at Barnawa Ashram in Baghpat. This furlough was granted before assembly polls. This was the 10th time he was allowed furlough/parole.
Two days before he was granted furlough, Punjab and Haryana high court had told state govt to give furlough or parole to Ram Rahim after careful consideration. After this, govt granted furlough to Ram Rahim on the condition that he will not go to Dera Sacha Sauda in Sirsa.
