Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim who has been serving life imprisonment in local Sunaria jail for murder and rape case, has been granted 21 days furlough on Tuesday morning. He left the jail premises here today morning with the sunrise at 6.40am for his Uttar Pradesh’s Barnava ashram.

According to the the conditions laid down on him for furlough, he would spend his three weeks time in his ashram’s only in Barnava in UP. Ram Rahim has come out of jail 10 times after being sentenced.

Notably, two days ago, the Punjab and Haryana High Court had told the Haryana government to give furlough or parole in this matter only after careful consideration.
According to Haryana Prisons Jail manual, prisoners are entitled for 70 days parole & 30 days fulough in a year.

Ram Rahim is serving a 20-year jail term for raping two of his disciples and a life term for murdering a journalist.
