A father-son duo was allegedly crushed to death by a tipper near Khalsa School on Nakodar Road here Wednesday morning.

The victims are 42-year old Jasbir Singh and his 16-year-old son Karman Singh. They hailed from Heran village and were going to a vegetable market to purchase vegetables for a marriage function in the family.
CCTV footage of the accident showed that the duo riding a bike hit a pedestrian and fell on the road after losing their balance.As soon as they fell on the road a tipper moving on their right side crushed them. Heaps of garbage on the road berm on the left side of the father-son duo appeared to be squeezing the space at the busy road. Tipper driver tried to escape but was caught by the people at some distance. TNN
