After a fight, a man in the Shahjahanpur region of Uttar Pradesh killed his daughter-in-law with an axe before hanging himself from a tree. According to reports, the accused had an alcohol addiction and argued with his daughter-in-law on a regular basis. Both bodies have been transferred for post-mortem examination by the police.
The event happened on Tuesday in Hathipur Kuria village, which is within the jurisdiction of the Kant police station. After learning of the occurrence, police hurried to the area on Wednesday morning. The culprit, Rajpal Satya (70), killed his daughter-in-law, Sumitra (30), and then left the house, according to the results of the inquiry.
Police discovered Rajpal’s body dangling from a tree in a neighbouring orchard while conducting a search in the neighbourhood. The culprit was a regular drinker, according to Superintendent of Police Rajesh Kumar Dwivedi, who cited early findings and comments from neighbourhood neighbours. The two are thought to have gotten into a fight, and he then killed her right there by attacking her with an axe that was stored in the house out of rage.
They sent a forensic team to the scene. There was yet another police unit in the village. Truck driver Sumitra’s spouse was away from home when the incident occurred. Police are currently looking into the murder after recovering the axe used in the crime.
It is important to note that Shahjahanpur saw the emergence of another horrifying murder-suicide case last month. A 36-year-old dad killed his four children in a village under the jurisdiction of Roza police station by cutting their throats and then hanging himself. The tragedy happened in the village of Manpur Chachri and was discovered the next day.
A police officer claims that the culprit, Rajeev Kumar, murdered his son Rishabh (5) and three daughters, Smriti (12), Kirti (9), and Pragati (7). He then proceeded to hang himself in a different room. When Rajeev failed to open the door in the morning, his father scaled the roof and went through the steps to the house.
According to family members, Rajeev was receiving therapy after suffering a severe brain injury in an accident a year prior. He got easily agitated as a result of the injuries. Additionally, according to police, his wife had spent the day before at her parents’ house. According to the inquiry, Rajeev sharpened the weapon with sandpaper prior to carrying out the killings.
