Today, there is no field where girls aren’t surpassing boys; in fact, they are proving to be superior in every domain. The upcoming prize distribution ceremony for the BSc agriculture programme, scheduled for Nov 26, at the Haryana Agricultural University, highlights this trend. Out of a total of 100 awards, girls have secured 71 of them.
Prof Sandeep Arya, media advisor to HAU vice-chancellor, said in this programme, a total of 100 rolls of honor will be awarded to students in the BSc four-year degree course being run in the Agriculture College here in the university.Similarly, in the six-year BSc agriculture course, a total of 74 prizes are to be distributed.
This year, 89 girls took admission as compared to 69 boys. Of 717 students enrolled in the BSc agriculture programme across three university colleges in Hisar, Bawal, and Kaul, 364 are girls.
