GRAP-4 reimposed due to bad air quality

Following the bad Air Quality Index (AQI) score, the Delhi Directorate of Education (DoE) on had again directed all schools to conduct hybrid classes for students up to Class 9 under under stage four of the Graded Response Action Plan.

The accumulation of pollutants is the result of various factors, including calm winds, low temperatures and foggy conditions, which has results in the air quality index soaring from 275 on Tuesday to 396.

It is worth notable that the orders will be applied to all government and private schools across all boards.

According to the order from the Delhi Directorate of Education; all heads of Schools of Govt., Govt. Aided, Unaided Recognized Private Schools of DOE, NDMC, MCD and Delhi Cantonment Board are directed to conduct classes in schools for children up to Class IX & XI in a ‘Hybrid Mode’ i.e., both in physical and online mode.”

At the same time, the construction activities in the region are also banned as well as the entry of non-essential polluting trucks into Delhi.
