Deputy commissioner-cum-district election officer Dr Yash Garg on Tuesday said all preparations had been made for the nomination process for the upcoming Haryana assembly elections. The nomination process is scheduled to begin on Sept 5 for the Panchkula and Kalka assembly constituencies in the district. Garg said the candidates could file their nominations for the Kalka constituency at the SDM office in Kalka and for the Panchkula seat at the SDM court room, mini secretariat, Sector 1, Panchkula.
The DC said employees had been assigned duties by returning officers for the nomination process in Kalka and Panchkula constituencies.A rehearsal of the nomination procedure has also been completed, he said.
The notification for the Haryana assembly elections will be issued on Sept 5, marking the start of the nomination process for both constituencies. Candidates will have the opportunity to file their nominations until Sept 12, from 11 am to 3 pm on all working days, said the DC. He said the candidates must submit their nomination papers with forms prescribed by the Election Commission.
