Rolling out three schemes for youth, Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini on Monday called upon them to be agents of social change for pursuing Prime Minister’s vision of creating a developed nation by 2047.
During an International Youth Day event at Panchkula, he asked young people to take advantage of targeted schemes such as Drone Didi, Contractor Saksham Yuva, and IT Saksham Yuva.He said the PM’s Drone Didi scheme had 500 women subscribers, while by 2025, the state govt will train 5,000 women from self-help groups (SHGs) in operating agricultural drones and give them 80% subsidy or a maximum of Rs 8 lakh for buying the equipment. The project is worth Rs 54 crore.
Under the Contractor Saksham Yuva Yojana, the govt will give business-skill training to 10,000 holders of engineering degrees and diplomas to help them become contractors. They will need to sign up on the Haryana Engineering Works Portal to receive an interest-free loan of up to Rs 3 lakh for a year. They can take up contracts of up to Rs 25 lakh in panchayati raj institutions and municipal bodies.
IT Saksham Yuva Yojana will make networking, mobile technology, and other professionals for govt and private jobs.
