Corona seems to be slowly making a comeback. According to the latest data, there is once again a sharp rise in COVID-19 cases in Delhi. As per the Health Department, Delhi currently has 104 active COVID-19 cases. In the past week alone, 99 new cases have been reported, which has become a cause of concern for both the health administration and the public.

Meanwhile, the total number of active COVID-19 cases across the country has now crossed the 1,000 mark.
Health officials say the registration of 99 new cases in the last week is a clear sign that the virus is still not fully under control. With 104 active cases, the Delhi government and the Health Department have decided to intensify monitoring and testing efforts.
Kerala Reports the Highest Number of Active Cases
According to the Health Department, Kerala has the highest number of active cases at 430, followed by Maharashtra with 209, and Delhi with 104, placing it third. Karnataka has reported 34 new cases, bringing its total number of active cases to 47. In Gujarat, 76 new cases have emerged, taking its active total to 83. Haryana reported 8 new cases, bringing its active case count to 9. Rajasthan saw 11 new cases, raising the active total to 13. Similarly, West Bengal reported 11 new cases, increasing its active count to 12. Uttar Pradesh has also reported 15 new cases.
Active Case Drops in Puducherry and Sikkim
In Puducherry, one patient recovered and was discharged, bringing the number of active cases down to 9. In Sikkim, a patient also recovered, bringing the state’s active cases to zero. Additionally, many states and union territories—such as Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Assam, and Bihar—currently have no active cases.
Officials stated that the Health Department is keeping a close watch on the rising number of COVID-19 cases. Earlier, Delhi’s Health Department had issued an advisory, urging people to avoid crowded places.
