Pakistan has also stopped gas supply to the residence of the Indian diplomates in Islamabad. Further, the suppliers of the gas cylinders in the area have been advised on the same not to sell the cylinders to Indian diplomats.
Islamabad has also stalled the supply of mineral water and newspapers as reported by India Today. According to reports, Pakistan did this in retaliation to India who was conducting what it termed as Operation Sindoor.
According to the report, the step is an initiative of an intelligence agency of Pakistan i.e. ISI, and, as per the plan, the country is performing a number of minor revenge gestures.
Pakistan has cut gas supply in the residences of Indian missionaries in the capital Islamabad. In addition, they have instructed the gas cylinder suppliers within their country not to sell their gas cylinders to the Indian diplomats.
In a separate report that was set up by India Today, even the delivery of mineral water and newspapers have not been allowed in Islamabad. This is supposed to be a retaliatory measure that Pakistan took in response to India implementing its Operation Sindoor.
The report revealed that the measure has been envisaged due to the fact that the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI is adopting a strategy based on which the country is being engaged in a series of minimal responding actions.
In another blow to its relations with Pakistan, delivery of newspapers to Pakistani diplomats in Delhi has been halted in India in a retaliatory strike.
This Has Been Done by Pakistan in the Past
This was repeated by Pakistan when it harassed Indian diplomats in the country in retaliation to an India airstrike in Pakistan in 2019 following a Pulwama attack.
This behaviour was faced by the Indian High Commissioner Ajay Bisaria, Deputy High Commissioner J.P. Singh and the Naval Adviser among other senior officials at that time. The activities were accompanied by the trailing, questioning by the security officers and fake telephone calls.
The Indian Express stated that 19 cases of Indian diplomats being harassed took place in Islamabad. After the increased cases the Indian High Commission had addressed this matter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan.
