The Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association and Debt Recovery Tribunal Bar Association have come in the support of the District Bar Association’s indefinite strike against the implementation of the Chandigarh UT Tenancy Act 2019.
The Punjab and Haryana High Court Bar Association held an executive committee meeting on July 23, attended by District Bar Association (DBA) president Rohit Khular, to address concerns regarding the UT Tenancy Act 2019.The committee strongly condemned the Chandigarh administration’s action of sending the proposed draft of the act for notification and implementation in the Parliament.
The PHHCBA has claimed to protest if the draft is not recalled or stayed by the UT administration. The Debt Recovery Tribunal Bar Association also decided that if the draft is not withdrawn, they too would support the protest, alongside the DBA Chandigarh.
