A 56-year-old farmer, who was duped of Rs 18 lakh, allegedly died by suicide in Punjab’s Patiala district on Friday.
Ghanaur police have booked four people in this connection.
Singh consumed poison after some people did not return Rs 18 lakh, which the accused had borrowed from him.
The accused were identified as Balram of Sirkapda of Sanaur, Sandeep and Vijay Kumar of Jogipur village of Sanaur and Kaka Ram of Ghanaur.
