BJP is yet to announce their candidates but party leader and power and jail minister Ranjit Singh Chautala on Monday called a meeting of his supporters in Rania and announced to contest the assembly polls from the constituency. Rajnit Singh was elected from Rania in the last election as an independent candidate and later supported the BJP govt.
Sources said BJP and RSS surveys in all 90 assembly segments of the state had revealed that the people of Rania were angry with Ranjit Singh’s decision to resign as MLA to contest the Lok Sabha elections from Hisar.
