Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) president Harjinder Singh Dhami has welcomed the return of the two holy saroops (scriptures) of Guru Granth Sahib from the custody of Doha police in Qatar. He mentioned efforts of the external affairs ministry for this task and demanded that these saroops be brought to India.
In a press release issued here on Wednesday, Dhami said: “It is good that the Centre has made serious efforts in keeping with the reverence of holy Guru Granth Sahib.This matter is very serious, as it is connected with the religious sentiments of the Sikh community.”
