Everyone is now watching to see who will be the next chief minister after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won a landslide victory in the Delhi Assembly Elections. The BJP’s choice for the future chief minister is being discussed, and according to sources, the elected MLAs will be chosen. Additionally, there is conjecture that a female applicant may be selected for the top job.
It is required of the Delhi administration to create the cabinet with social balance in mind. A Deputy CM role might also be added to accomplish this. The new government is expected to include representation for Dalit leaders and women. Notably, Neelam Pehalwan, Rekha Gupta, Poonam Sharma, and Shikha Rai were elected as MLAs. Their names are being considered for important positions. Furthermore, the BJP has increased its support among Dalit voters by winning four reserved (SC) seats.
Parvesh Verma – Parvesh Verma is starting to stand up as a serious candidate for chief minister. He is a well-known Jat politician who has a close relationship with the rural voters of Delhi. The BJP won all seven seats in the region because to the overwhelming support it garnered from Outer Delhi. There are questions over whether he is the party workers’ first choice, but his strong relationship with Amit Shah lends credence to his possible candidature for chief minister.
Mohan Singh Bisht – Another name under discussion is Mohan Singh Bisht. He has been elected six times and is well-established in Mustafabad, a seat with a majority of Muslims. A well-known figure in the Pahari community, he is seen as a formidable contender for the position of Speaker of the Assembly or Chief Minister. Three-time Rohini MLA Vijender Gupta has been an outspoken BJP leader in the Delhi Assembly. He is well-versed in governance and policy issues, and Amit Shah has praised his development efforts in Rohini. He is regarded by the Baniya community as a powerful leader.
Rajkumar Chauhan – Another candidate under consideration is Rajkumar Chauhan, a former Congress minister who was elected from the reserved SC seat of Mangolpuri. Although his past in Congress may be a disadvantage, his administrative experience is a great plus. Ravi Inderraj Singh, the winner of another reserved constituency, is also running. Kailash Gangwal is becoming more well-known after defeating AAP politician Rakhi Birla in Madipur. He is expected to play a significant role in the government alongside other Dalit MLAs.
Satish Upadhyay – One Brahmin contender for chief minister is Satish Upadhyay. He defeated Malviya Nagar’s senior AAP leader, Somnath Bharti. He is regarded as a seasoned BJP strategist with extensive organisational expertise. Another candidate for chief minister is Pawan Sharma, who won from Uttam Nagar. He is renowned for his modest but successful political efforts, and his strong connections with the RSS were crucial in getting him a ticket.
