Following a strong weekend, Kesari 2’s earnings did not significantly decline during the week, and its seven-day total came in at a respectable level. But the movie hasn’t made enough money to satisfy its creators.
Kesari Chapter 2, Akshay Kumar’s most recent movie, has finished its first week at the box office. The movie didn’t open as well as anticipated based on the buzz, despite being in the news since the publication of the teaser and trailer.
The movie made a respectable amount in seven days thanks to the favourable reviews that helped it do well over the weekend and the steady earnings during the week. However, the performance fell short of its creators’ expectations.
First week collection of ‘Kesari 2’
The movie made ₹3.78 crore on Wednesday, nearly reaching ₹43 crore in total revenue. Sacnilk claims that Kesari 2 made about ₹3.5 crore on Thursday, which is almost the same amount as it did on Wednesday.
As a result, Akshay’s movie has made nearly ₹46 crore in just seven days. To increase its total before Ajay Devgn’s Raid 2 is released on May 1st, it now needs a significant spike over the second weekend.
How does ‘Kesari 2’ compare in first week collections?
In its first week at the box office earlier this year, Akshay’s Skyforce brought in around ₹100 crore (₹99.70 crore). This year, it was Bollywood’s second-best first-week collection, behind Vicky Kaushal’s smash hit Chhava (₹225 crore). However, because of its large production expense, Skyforce was still not regarded as a success.
In contrast, less than half as much was collected in the first week of Kesari 2. In terms of earnings, the total is far less than that of Sunny Deol’s popular film Jaat, which made ₹62 crore in its first week of release. In its first week of release, even Salman Khan’s failure Sikandar brought in ₹88.50 crore, nearly twice as much as Kesari 2.
For Kesari 2 to do well in its second week, it now requires a solid second weekend. In two weeks, Akshay’s movie might earn about ₹70 crore based on existing patterns. Even though the box office result fell short of expectations, Akshay still benefits from the wonderful feedback he is getting.
